OptionRoom’s Markets Competition; $10,000 in $ROOM to the highest volume market creator!

We couldn’t be happier to announce yet another competition from the OptionRoom team with a prize of $10,000 for creating a prediction market with the most volume!

It is our biggest aim to spread awareness about the OptionRoom dApp by having you, the users, create new, exciting, and hot-topic prediction markets for everyone to swim in.

All you have to do to participate in the contest is to simply create new markets on our dApp and make them explosively engaging to get as much volume as you can — you will find a tutorial on this below. The contest begins December Xth and lasts until February Xth, so you will have plenty of time to make a market that matters and gets a sea of participants!

What’s OptionRoom again?

We at OptionRoom are building the first-ever forecast protocol with no limit on the number of prediction markets. It is a winning game for us with this feature because we have introduced the world’s first OaaS (Oracle as a Service) that allows seamless verification by solving Oracle requests and gives the chance to bring real-world data on chain.

OptionRoom has both a governance token ($COURT) and a utility token ($ROOM) that enables the entire prediction ecosystem on our platform. Our mission is to put real world outcomes of events on chain in order to build a long lasting infrastructure for voting, betting, and far beyond that.

The Competition:

The goal for you to win $10,000 in $ROOM tokens requires a significantly simple solution to a problem: How to get more people to vote in my prediction market?

In the 2 months of this promotion, to participate, you will have to create one or more prediction markets that would get more volume than markets created by others. The competition begins Wednesday, December 8th, and ends at midnight UTC on February 8th.

Hint: Your market question has to be incredibly exciting and valuable to get fellow OptionRoom dApp users to put their money where their mouth is. It’s in no way an easy task to overthrow others with the volume and the velocity of your market, so be creative, be bold, read the news, see new trends, notice where the hype is hiding.

How to create a market:

How does one create a market on the OptionRoom dApp? Let’s find out by getting our hands dirty — it is often said that you can only learn by doing.

First of all, you can go directly to app.optionroom.finance/markets, or simply click the <Launch dApp> button on the top right corner of our official website optionroom.com.

You will see this wide empty screen open with a button in the middle that says “Connect” — on mobile, you will click it to see a popup containing a wide variety of wallets you can use to play around inside the dApp.

On desktop, you’ll see a QR code pop up which you can scan with a wallet of your choice, but only if it’s compatible with WalletConnect. Simply access the camera through a crypto wallet that has this feature, like Trustwallet or Metamask, make sure you’re on BSC, scan the QR code, and it should take only a blink to connect!

You can also go to your favorite wallet’s browser and enter the dApp there. From here it will be very easy to connect to OptionRoom with a click of a button. The connection waiting time should not take more than a few seconds. IMPORTANT: Make sure you are on the Binance Smart Chain — for now, only BSC is supported. And you’re in!

Now, you will see the entire dApp interface and a feed of existing markets. Wish to blow everyone away by creating the most intriguing market? You’re in the right spot. Simply click > Create New, and a new form to fill out will pop up.

From here, everything is on the table. Enter your question for the market, select category, end date, and rules are also crucial.

Now, add your references to be used for the project, and select the liquidity you want from a user-friendly slider.

Finally, uploading an image for the prediction market is necessary. It allows users to locate it better and makes it unique. In the end, click > Approve BUSD. Note that the cost of creating a market is 500 ROOM, which is around $50 at the time of writing, so make sure to have your ROOM tokens in order to successfully submit your market.
